• General information

Our idyllic location, tucked away on the edge of the Peak District, offers an abundance of wildlife, fishing ponds and woodland. Secret Valley Escapes is the perfect place for you to escape all the stresses and pressures of everyday life.

  
  We offer fishing for both the seasoned angler and beginners alike, a chance to be at the heart of nature for all wildlife lovers and photographers and lots of space for those looking for a quiet place to relax. For those looking to explore, we have a multitude of footpaths on the site and beyond.

  As the days draw to a close we welcome you to enjoy the last of the sunshine around your very own fire pit, before heading into your den for a cosy evening in front of the fire and then finally retiring to your ready-made bed.

  Whether you are looking for a family break away, that long-overdue planned fishing trip or simply somewhere to escape and relax with friends, we have it covered. 

• Accommodation

  Each Den is well equipped with both indoor and outdoor facilities. Inside you will find a kitchen area, complete with gas hob and fridge; dining space for 4 and a sofa in front of the fire for enjoying cosy nights in.

  There are 2 bedrooms in the Den - a double bedroom and a bunk bed room. Also inside your Den you have your own bathroom, complete with shower, toilet and basin. On site we also have 2 well equiped family shower rooms if you would prefer a little bit more space.

  Outside your Den you have your own seating area, under canvass, so you can enjoy the outdoors even in the rain! Additionally you have another seating area around your very own solo stove - which doubles up as a fire pit and BBQ. 

  Each Den has its own privacy and space. There are only 2 Dens on site, to ensure all our guests can enjoy the surroundings and feel like the space is their own.

  Prices are available on our website. Please enter your dates to check availability and price.

  We offer stays from Friday to Monday,  Monday to Friday and Friday to Friday

• Facilities

  On site we have a reception area and family shower rooms for all guests to use. At present we only have 2 accomodations (Dens) so our guests get to enjoy the exclusivity of the site. 

• Things to do onsite and nearby

  Secret Valley is set in 10 acres of woodland and fields, all of which you are free to explore. We also have 2 fishing ponds and a floating bird hide for you to enjoy during your stay. 

  We are located about 5 minutes (by car) from Holmfirth Town Centre - famous for being the setting of 'Last of the Summer Wine' and more recently for being a great place for live music at the Picturedrome. Holmfirth boasts a range of shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs as well as a Vineyard.

  If you love walking, there are many local walks you can take direct from the site (more information in our Welcome Pack on these). We are also closely located to lots of reservoirs and moorland.
